Krabi, Thailand : Bit by Bit : Europeans. Alcoholism.

Europeans can been seen everywhere, in fact they are the most often people I can see. Whole stretch of Ao Nang bay is full of Europeans, if ever you plane crashed and drop onto this land, you may even think that you're in one of the Europe country, instead of Asia. And they have one similarity, they drinks (I'm not saying ALL of them).

Some incidents:
  • At one of the night, a guy holding beer bottle came in to my room after few knocks on the door, saw my mum, apologies and went out, he's a bit drunk and mistakenly went to our room. I din lock the door because we still plan to go out have supper, so thought it will be okay to left it unlocked.
  • I chatted with a senior lady from Vancouver, Canada. She said that she saw two guy drink beer at 6.30a.m in the morning where she stay. Can you all imagine it? 6.30a.m these people are drinking, I breakfast also consider too early for me.
  • From Krabi Ao Nang, we took Songthaew (what they called as public bus, it doesn't look like bus at all) to Krabi town. On the journey, one guy who is holding a LEO bottle stopped the bus, told the bus driver, went to take 2 carton of 24 LEO cans and stepped up to the bus. Don't know pass how long of silence moments, one of the other passenger asked him, "So are you holding a party or something tonight? or all these is for yourselves?" He answered, " Nah, all these only will last me like, hmm, six days?". LEO contains 5% alcohol (saw it when it is put by my side), so is something like KAMPAI in our country. All of us keep silence then. So i calculated, 2 times 24 divide by 6, equals to six cans per day. 6 times 325 ml each, 1.95 litre, he certainly drinks like there is no tomorrow. I not even sure did I drink that much plain water per day. ><

Lesson of the day: Don't get addicted with alcohol.

Lee Xiang.
